Overview

Masses of violet-purple flowers in late summer. A compact variety with violet-purple flowers that have yellow centres from August to October and lance-shaped, mid-green leaves. 'Purple Dome' is a pretty Michaelmas daisy that will brighten up a mixed or herbaceous border after other perennials have done their bit. It will also flourish in both sun or dappled shade.

Care guide

Stake with bamboo canes or brushwood in early spring. Water regularly during dry spells and deadhead to prolong flowering. After flowering cut the flowered stems to the ground and apply a generous mulch of well-rotted garden compost or horse manure around the base of the plant.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
