Overview

Featuring large, ruffled blooms,Viola ×wittrockiana 'Ruffles Soft Lavender' showcases soft lilac petals that add a touch of elegance to any winter and spring planting scheme. Perfect for planters, gardens, and balconies, these lightly scented pansies can produce their frilly flowers for up to six months, depending on the planting time, brightening up pots and borders with their long-lasting and charming presence.

Care guide

Supplied as jumbo seedlings, these violas should be grown individually in pots within a frost-free environment, such as a cool greenhouse or a brightly lit windowsill, before being hardened off and planted outdoors. Plant them in compost or well drained, humus-rich soil that is neither frozen nor prone to waterlogging. Protect young plants from slug damage using environmentally friendly slug pellets or beer traps. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to prolong the flowering period.
