Overview

Highly patterned, larger than average leaves. The larger than average, highly patterned foliage of this handsome ground-covering plant is ideal for illuminating cool, shadier spots in the garden. In early spring (at around the same time as the foliage emerges), it sends up sprays of small, blue, forget-me-not-like flowers that are held on slender stems, which grow taller as the leaves develop fully. The heart-shaped foliage forms a dense, gently spreading clump, so it's useful for softening the edges of a path or border - and it also looks great when woven through a naturalised setting and teamed with other shade-loving plants such as ferns or hostas.

Remove spent flowerspikes after the last bloom has faded. Lift and divide the plant every two or three years in late autumn.

How your order will arrive

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
