Overview

Forming magnificent clusters of larger than average bi-coloured flowers from midsummer, this semi-evergreen African lily provides a striking feature in a pot, and looks very impressive when planted in broad swathes throughout the border.

Care guide

Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser throughout the growing season. Towards the end of September ease back on the watering and feeding of plants in containers to allow the foliage to toughen up. Keep reasonably dry during the winter and protect the crowns with a dry mulch in the autumn. Divide plants that have become too big in spring, but remember you will often get more flowers when the roots are constricted.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
